I don't know, I mean, I guess it could exist.

I've never been much for religion or anything like that. Emma talks about Heaven sometimes and I guess that could be the same thing as an afterlife. But from what I've heard, you have to practically be a saint to get in there -- and we all know that I ain't even close to being a saint.

If there is some place like that, then I guess if I somehow made it there, I'd be hoping to find my ma. She was a good lady and did her best to take care of us and keep us hidden and safe from our pa.

I don't rightly know if there is such a thing, but it makes for a pretty dream.
